Nurmon VPK

Nurmon palokunnalla oli avoimet ovet nyt lauantaina. Väkeä oli kuin pipoa enkä ihmettele miksi. Ketä nyt ei kiinnostaisi päästä tutustumaan palokuntaan ja salskeisiin palomiehiin. Tosin luulenpa suurin osa väestä ei tullu katsomaan salskeita palomiehiä -suurin osa väestä taisi nimittäin olla alle kouluikäisiä.

Avoimiet ovet oli mahtava tapahtuma. Siellä pääsi tutustumaan paloautoihin ja ensivasteautoon, myytiin makkaraa, pääsi ajelulle paloautolla ja palomiehet pitivät näytöksiä. Näin muun muassa sammutusharjoituksen, harjoituksen, jossa palomiehet poistivat autosta katon sekä mitä tapahtuu, jos öljypaloa yrittää sammuttaa vedellä. Kaiken tämän lisäksi sain ilmapallon, sovitin kypärää ja pääsin ajelulle paloautolla. Ei hullumpi tapa viettää lauantai aamupäivää.

Fire sation of Nurmo has an open door day today. There was a lot of people and no wonder why. Who wouldn't want to see the fire station and the hunk firefighters. Althought I think that most of the people weren't there to see hunk firefighters, since most of them were under school age.

Anyway the open doors was awesome. I was able to see the fire truck and get a ride in it. I also got to wear a helmet and had an balloon. The firefighters held some shows. They had a show of putting out a fire, show of removing a car cap and a show of what happens when you try to put out an oil fire with water. Impressive and a fun way to spend a saturday morning.
